To help you prepare for your Registration Day, we’ve listed some of the common questions students have about Registration Day events and details. If you have a question about a topic you don’t see below, please call us. We’re happy to help!
What if I forgot / misplaced / don’t know my Concordia student ID number?
Your CUW student ID number begins with F00 (capital F, zero, zero). This number will be on most documents mailed to you from CUW. If you can’t locate it on any mailings, please call the Admission Office at 1-888-628-9472 and we’ll help you out.
How do I sign up for a date?
It’s easy! Just complete the web-registration form to reserve a seat at Registration Day. Information is mailed to all admitted students in late February. If you were admitted after early March you’ll receive registration information along with your acceptance letter.
I forgot which day I signed up for.
You should have received a confirmation e-mail from us with your selected date. Please check your junk mail file because sometimes e-mail providers identify this as spam. If, by chance, the e-mail was deleted, please call the Advising Services Office at 262-243-4499 and we’ll get you this information.
I’ve changed my major, and I need to let the university know.
We’re happy to accommodate your change in major. Please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, CUW student ID number, and your new major!
Do I need to take any placement tests?
Yes, but only if you need to take Chemistry 141 (General Chemistry I) and Chemistry 105 (Elements of General and Biological Chemistry) during your studies at CUW. If you’ve declared one of the following majors or programs you’ll need to sit for the assessment:
- Biomedical Sciences
- Natural Science
- Secondary Education Broad Field Science
- Pre-Physician Assistant
- Pre-Physical Therapy
The placement assessment begins at 7:45 a.m. on each scheduled group Registration Day. You don’t have to bring anything to the assessment. We’ll provide you with a calculator and a periodic table.
What if I’m taking an Advanced Placement (AP)/College Level Entrance Placement (CLEP)/Youth Options/ or other college course and haven’t taken the test or received my scores yet?
It’s great that you’re challenging yourself! During your Registration Day we assume the best and will work with you to select other required classes so you can avoid unnecessarily repeating a course.
When you take your test or final exam, please list CUW as an institution that can receive your scores or request an official transcript from the college hosting your course. Scores and transcripts are evaluated in the Registrar’s Office and credits are awarded accordingly.
I cannot attend a Registration Day, now what?
That’s OK. With today’s busy schedules we understand if you can’t attend a Registration Day in person. We assure you that we’ll work hard to prepare a class schedule around your needs. Here’s how it will work:
- Complete a web registration form and select “cannot attend in person”
- A faculty member in your declared major will prepare a class schedule for you
- The schedule, along with a Registration Day folder, will be mailed to you about 3 weeks after the first Registration Day
- The registration folder includes information about the CUW portal, parent relations, advising services, health services, and bookstore
- Your schedule will be prepared shortly after the university receives your tuition deposit/request
