Collaboration: Bringing Together the Best in Education, Business, and Healthcare
Join us Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 7:30am - 9:00am for our Leadership Series.
The popular Leadership Series is a signature semi-annual event that exists to recognize and encourage ethical leadership principles and provide networking opportunities for business and community leaders to come together in a dynamic, Christian, higher education environment.
More than ever before, professionals are being called upon to work together in a collaborative way. The days of silos must be behind us as we strive for efficiencies wherever possible. This is especially important in the worlds of academics, business, and healthcare. Traditionally seen as distinct fields, these three are coming together in new and exciting ways. We are in the midst of a dramatic change in how healthcare is being delivered in the US, and Concordia’s collaboration of business and health professions is being pursued as a means to innovate and face this challenge head-on.
To address these important issues, we have assembled a panel of experts to discuss how this new collaborative environment is shaping the future in southeast Wisconsin. Rev. Dr. Patrick T. Ferry, President of Concordia University Wisconsin, will share insights about how higher education can best adapt to lead in this new world. Based on nearly 20 years as a university president, Dr. Ferry brings a unique perspective to change.
Joining him on the panel will be Dr. Daniel Sem, Dean of the School of Business Administration at Concordia as well as Dr. Linda Samuel, Dean of the School of Health Professions. Working together they are redefining the relationship between business and healthcare with an eye toward better serving the community. Combining best practices in business with a commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship is already creating exciting opportunities for the future.
