Campus blood drive and alternate study spaces

Wednesday, September 16, Concordia will host a blood drive in the Terrace Room to support the Blood Center of Wisconsin. Blood donations are desperately needed due to reduced donations as a result of COVID-19. The process will follow strict COVID-19 safety procedures and all donations will be screened for antibodies. Students and staff who wish to donate can do so by visiting the website bit.ly/CUWSEP16 or by calling 877-232-4376. An information table will also be located outside the Siebert Dining Hall today at noon.

Because of the blood drive, the Terrace Room will be closed to students tomorrow. It will reopen as usual on Thursday as 24/7 overflow dining and study space for residential and commuting students.

While the Terrace Room will be occupied, there are several other spaces for students and staff to eat and study, including:

  • the Robert Plaster Free Enterprise Building
  • the Library
  • the Landing area
  • the Albrecht Lounge and study rooms

Fitness center update

The Fitness Center is now open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The capacity is limited to 30 and visitors must sign in. Facemasks are required and users are asked to wipe down equipment after each use.

Thank you for caring for one another by following CUW’s safe campus guidelines.
