MSNBC.com has recognized Concordia University Wisconsin’s bluff restoration project as one of the must see engineering and infrastructure projects in the United States. The recent article profiles nine projects and suggests that if travelers are ever in the vicinity of one of these feats they stop and take a look.
Completed in 2007, the $12 million bluff restoration project is now home to 20 different species of native plant and serves as an environmental beacon along the shores of Lake Michigan. Concordia University Wisconsin was one of five finalists in the 2010 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) competition, losing to a bridge project in China.
