Concordia University Wisconsin’s Veterans Services Program reached a milestone last week as they registered their 400th student. This achievement came on the heels of graduating the 100th student in the program during December’s commencement exercises.
“Our Veteran Services Department is extremely excited for the opportunity to serve 400 veterans across our many campuses and online,” noted Eduardo Garza, director of veteran services. “We are just as excited as they are to start classes, and we are determined to assist them along the way in order to seem them graduate,” continued Garza. “Helping our veterans graduate is our number one priority.”
Since American Legion Post 1881 was formed on campus two years ago, the only one of its kind in Wisconsin and one of only 10 nationwide, enrollment in the program has spiraled upwards 137%.
