Master of Science - Art Education

The value of art goes far beyond appreciating a painting. Neuroscience research shows that engaging with art both creating it and appreciating it affects the brain in remarkable ways. CUW's Master of Science in Art Education examines how art impacts the physical, mental and spiritual development of the child.

Program Overview

CUW's Master of Science in Art Education program is designed for students with an undergraduate degree in art, art education, or education or for those who hold other bachelors degrees and want to pursue a new career in art education.

Professional Certifications

You can apply for your Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certificate in K-12 Art by taking additional coursework

Scholarships

Grants are available to teachers in Christian schools (Lutheran, Catholic, or other). Please check with our Financial Aid office for more details.

Entrance Requirements

  • Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 for full acceptance
  • Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Art-related undergraduate degree or approval of the program director
