Program Overview

German is among the most commonly spoken languages in the world and has the largest number of native speakers in the European Union. Many of the world’s most important works of literature, music, history, theology, and science are written – and, in some instances, solely – in German. This program is designed to help you develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing fluency so you can help impart the same fluency to your students. You’ll learn the traditions and customs of the German culture and be exposed to the country’s storied history and explore the issues that face contemporary German society. All while becoming fluent in the tactics that will help you be the best K-12 education teacher you can be.
