This blended program is designed to equip you with the ability to excel in a variety of administrative and clinical duties at a host of health-care facilities. Learn the in-demand skills through our flexible online classrooms and prove your proficiency in face-to-face assessments. Our program will teach you how to:
- Communicate effectively with patients
- Perform rescue breathing, CPR, use a defibrillator, and care for choking victims
- Establish, document, and maintain medical records
- Perform your duties within legal and ethical boundaries
- Use computer software for scheduling and maintaining records
- Administer medication and assist with minor office surgery
- Handle basic medical office functions including coding, insurance, and practice finances
- Sterilize and sanitize equipment
- Obtain and record vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations

Upon graduation, students have found work in doctor offices and/or clinics in many specialties, including Pediatrics, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Urgent Care, and OB. Medical Assistants can also work in the lab doing venipuncture and/or with insurance companies.
