Erik P. Ankerberg, Ph.D. has accepted a call to serve as the next president of Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor. He will begin his term on Jan. 9, 2023.

The Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor Board of Regents is pleased to announce that Dr. Erik P. Ankerberg will be extended a Divine Call to serve as the University’s next president.

The interviews for the three candidates who were approved by the Prior Approval Panel of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod will visit Wisconsin and Ann Arbor campuses between October 5 and 14.

The next step in the process is an opportunity for CUWAA faculty, staff, and students, to get to know the candidates

On January 12, the Board of Regents voted to end their first presidential search process without taking any action regarding the 11 names approved by the Prior Approval Panel.

The CUWAA Board of Regents has received more than 50 comments regarding the Presidential Search. The window for comments closed on November 15, 2021. In accordance with Bylaw 3.10.6.6.2 (b) (8), the Board is reviewing all comments.
