Program Overview

CUW's Master of Church Music program is designed to help you develop and enhance your skills as church musicians, offering curriculum with concentrations in organ, choral music, and handbells.

Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the Church Music program will be trained in:

  • Liturgical church music practices, musical forms, and the song of the church
  • Music theory, arranging, and composing
  • Choral conducting techniques
  • Playing and directing handbells
  • Working with others to put their God-given talents to use

Entrance Requirements

  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 for full acceptance
  • BA/BS in music from a regionally accredited college or university, or a BA/BS in a non-music area from a regionally accredited college or university with the approval of the director
