Go for IT

Information Technology is about much more than being a computer geek. Of course, the role requires an in-depth knowledge of computers and their systems, but it’s also about helping others. Your future job will be to find solutions to the big and small problems that arise within an organization. IT is for creative people who love to imagine possibilities, solve problems, and make a difference in their service to Christ in the world.

Program Overview

Every business and enterprise requires IT to function in this global economy. Our curriculum will prepare you to enter this engaging field by giving you the necessary tools to manage and apply technology for any organization. Over the course of your studies, you will be presented with real-world technical issues to gain hands-on experience in finding solutions. You’ll learn to plan, design, implement, maintain, and use database management systems, and you’ll get to use computer hardware and software to troubleshoot actual problems. Upon graduation, you’ll be equipped to respond to the ongoing demands of computing. By pursuing a career as an IT professional, you’ll have the opportunity to put your knowledge to very practical use.

What to Expect

What does life as an IT student look like? You’ll be learning about the foundations of software, hardware, and programming. This groundwork allows you to support organizations and individuals in all their tech needs. Our faculty will challenge you to find creative ways to effectively maintain computer systems. In your final project, you’ll choose an approved problem and then fully implement the solution to that problem following professional programming practices.
