Rincker Memorial Library prides itself in providing CUW’s students with all of the secondary resources they need for research from freshman year assignments through our doctoral programs.
The library's collection includes over 250,000 volumes, including over 150,000 electronic book titles. CUW subscribes to over 400 periodical titles in addition to the more than 50,000 subscriptions that are available electronically through our 100+ online databases and indexes.
Concordia is also a member of SWITCH (Southeastern Wisconsin Information Technology Exchange), a library consortium made up of eight private academic libraries. With our shared catalog, TOPCAT, and an efficient week-day delivery service, the CUW community has direct access to over one million items.
To help patrons use these resources the library provides an online discovery system called SUMMON, that lets users search most of these resources with one simple interface. Watch a brief video introduction to SUMMON. Students also have access to a growing collection of subject specific research guides, and personalized assistance from our team of seven librarians, all with master degrees in Library Science. Librarians are available 78 hours a week to provide students with one-on-one help finding library resources.
During the fall and spring semesters the library is open 105 hours a week. The library is open to the public.
