At CUW, the baccalaureate ceremony is a Christian worship service with hymns, scripture lessons, a message, prayers, and special recognitions. It is an opportunity for our Christian community to celebrate all of God’s blessings associated with higher education and the earning of a degree. It is also a time to recognize and to thank God for all our vocations, what we do in our various careers to honor and to serve our Creator and Redeemer.

Students involved will be only those recognized for a special award (Academic or Student Life) or who are completing a church work program. These students will be invited by their program director or an administrator. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 capacity in the Chapel, we are unable to welcome guests to the Baccalaureate Ceremony. Students should assemble in the Chapel Undercroft with their regalia 30 minutes before the ceremony.

For those unable to attend the Baccalaureate Ceremony, the service will be live streamed online.
