Integrity in action.
First Thursdays is an opportunity to learn about social work values that are implemented in the real world. Through the eyes of each month's speaker, students gain an in-depth look at social work careers, how social work values apply, and gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a social worker.
This month we will be exploring the social work value of integrity--to act honestly and responsibly and promote ethical practices on the part of the organizations with which one is affiliated.
Ryanne Wendt, MSW, LCSW treasures her role as a psychotherapist. One would describe Ryanne as a "people person" (and she even has a mug in her office that says that) and is honored to walk alongside her clients through life's challenges.
Ryanne believes that there is beauty in the challenges of life - yes, even the hard parts can be something we are grateful for. Each challenge presents an opportunity to be our authentic selves and practice resilience.
With experience in school-based psychotherapy and private practice, Ryanne specializes in trauma informed care, EMDR, and perinatal care. Ryanne enjoys working with individuals and families of all ages and stages of life. She enjoys collaborating with clients to identify goals and problem areas, then seek realistic solutions and healing.
Ryanne especially loves supervising interns and in-training therapists, and often brings fresh baked sourdough to supervision. Outside of the clinic, Ryanne also is an adjunct lecturer at UW-Oshkosh in their Masters of Social Work program.
