Join us for "Innovations & What's Next at Concordia," our upcoming Christian Leadership Series breakfast featuring CUW leaders sponsored by Port Washington State Bank. President Dr. Erik Ankerberg, along with Dr. Jessica Leiberg (Nursing), Dr. Rachel Ware Carlton (Arts & Sciences), and Dr. Clarke Griffin (Business), will share insights on teh future of their schools. Hear key updates, explore new initiatives, and be inspired by how God is at work through Concordia's mission.

Our Featured Speakers Are:

DR. ERIK ANKERBERG – PRESIDENT OF CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY WISCONSIN & ANN ARBOR

Ankerberg has been president of Concordia University Wisconsin & Ann Arbor since January, 2023. His professional resume includes over twenty years of experience in leadership positions at Lutheran higher education institutions. Within this time, Dr. Ankerberg has led academic operations for Concordia University Wisconsin & Ann Arbor, Chicago, Texas, and Wisconsin Lutheran College. He holds a Ph.D. in British Renaissance Literature from Marquette University and his professional interests stretch from poetry to aesthetics.

DR. JESSICA LEIBERG – DEAN IN THE SCHOOL OF NURSING

Leiberg holds a DNP from Vanderbilt, a PhD from Marquette University, and brings experience from UW-Madison. Her research addresses nurse educator challenges, student success, and faculty retention. She collaborates across stakeholders to implement Christ-centered, data-driven initiatives that enhance teaching, learning and academic outcomes.

DR. RACHEL WARE CARLTON – DEAN IN THE SCHOOL OF ARTS & SCIENCES

Ware Carlton holds a DMA from the University of Minnesota and brings senior leadership experience from Lakeland University and Holy Family College. Her experience in faculty development and curriculum innovation advances mission-driven education and student success.

DR. CLARKE GRIFFIN – ASSOCIATE DEAN IN THE SCHOOL OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS IN THE BATTERMAN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

With 18 years in higher education, Griffin champions mission-centered business education through innovation in teaching, experiential learning, and ethical leadership. Clarke is dedicated to developing purpose-driving leaders through collaboration and real- world application.
