The Freshman Fast-Track Program is an innovative and educational opportunity for students who want to learn at an accelerated pace. Two optional courses are offered during the first year, titled MSAT 163: Freshman Fast Track I and MSAT 164: Freshman Fast Track II. These courses are open to all freshmen and are independent courses, so a student does not have to take MSAT 163 in order to enroll in MSAT 164.
The intention of this program is to provide an opportunity to students who want to get a head start in their educational career. The goals of this program are:
- Develop knowledge of the athletic training profession.
- Develop basic athletic training knowledge and skills during the first year, so a student may comprehend and expand their knowledge at an accelerated rate.
- Provide an educational avenue for those students who have a high desire to learn athletic training.
- Provide an appreciation of the science and the art of the athletic training profession.
