Access to Materials and Information
Permission must be obtained in order to view any CUW archival materials. The university archives are currently managed by Dr. Larry Sohn, Special Projects Coordinator, 262-243-4215. Dr. Sohn is on campus Tuesdays through Thursdays. The archives are currently being reorganized but materials are available during this process.
Use of Materials
The primary users of the CUW Archives collections are CUW faculty/staff, students, and alumni. Many of the archives materials are unique and many are fragile. They must be handled with care. Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited when using the materials. Only pencils may be used to take notes; absolutely no marks may be made on materials. All bags and coats must be checked before using materials. Photocopying may be permitted but only when it will not damage the materials and is allowed by federal copyright law.
In cooperation with CUW's library, selected items from the Archive have been digitized and are accessible to the public. Campus newspapers, college yearbooks, and historic photographs are searchable and viewable in the Library's Digital Collections.
