Should Animals Be Used for Research?

Join us for a Bioethics Forum on animal research! Since its inception, animal research has been controversial with biblically-based ethical arguments both for and against. Dr. Don Korte, Professor Emeritus of CUW, will present a brief historical overview of the vivisectionist and the anti-vivisectionist movements and the ethical arguments supporting each view. Implications of these movements with regard to the animal rights movement today will be explored. Held on October 18, 2019, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the School of Pharmacy, Room 008. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
