Student Life Virtual Open House

March 12, 2021

Zoom meet-up with the Student Life team for questions, comments & concerns

Dear Concordia Community,

As we reach the mid-point in the semester, we see the weather changing. Snow is quickly leaving; the days are longer and warmer. Our Wisconsin winter is giving way to spring. Regardless of the official date of the start of spring, it only feels like it has arrived when the hammocks appear in the chapel courtyard!

It’s an amazing to realize how successful our efforts have been to slow the spread of COVID within our campus community. Overall, our case counts are really low this semester. As a result, we are opening up more activities, including athletics - Go Falcons! Our hybrid approach to in-person learning is also a key part of keeping our community connected, but also healthy.

Still, through the end of the semester, we will continue to follow our masking, distancing, symptom tracking, and testing protocols. While more and more Concordians are eligible for and electing to receive the vaccine, we aren’t yet out of the woods. Let’s finish the semester strong! Thank you for continuing to do your part for the good of every Concordian.

Students, we know that you have questions about the remainder of the semester and we are here to answer them. You are invited to “drop-in” for a first-ever Student Life virtual Open House on March 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jump on in for a few minutes, ask your questions, hear from your Student Life team, and give us your feedback, too about how the semester is going.  The link to join this event is: https://cuwaa.zoom.us/j/99989800066.

These are historic times, and although we pray the end is near, we still have a long way to go. Your efforts, dedication, and perseverance have not gone unnoticed.  Each and every day, I see students like you proving why Concordia is an amazing community.

So, thank you. Keep it up. And stop by the virtual Open House on March 16.

Thanks,

Steve Taylor, Ed.D.
