Concordia’s resident student visitor policy

September 4, 2020

Outside visitors must complete the Visitor Symptom Tracker the day of visit prior to coming to campus.

Dear Concordians,

After months of preparing for your return, it is a true blessing to see you in the halls. Having you here brings me joy!

There have been questions and concerns about our COVID-Conscious visitor policy. This note is meant to provide clarity on the matter. In our campus return plan we outline that there will be no outside visitors in our residence halls. An outside visitor is someone who is not a resident student. Although we prefer and encourage students to meet in common spaces around campus, a resident student is permitted to invite another resident student into their room, according to their roommate agreement. When this occurs, masks should be worn.

While we prefer to have as few visitors on campus as possible, resident students are allowed to invite outside visitors to campus. Outside visitors must complete the Visitor Symptom Tracker the day of visit prior to coming to campus. If they answer yes to any of these questions we ask that they not come to campus. While entering campus, the guest can simply state to campus safety they are visiting the named student. This Visitor Symptom Tracker should be kept on the guest’s possession throughout the visit. Guest are encouraged to stay outdoors, and are not permitted in any residence hall or in the Siebert Dinning Hall.

At this time, we ask all commuters to refrain from bringing guests to campus until January 1st 2021.

I have appreciated all of the efforts that you as students have made. Your continued compliance keeps our COVID-Conscious Campus safe!

God’s Peace,
Beckie Kruse
