Program Overview

Nurse Practitioners are in high demand, and the profession is expected to grow 45% by 2029 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Nurses who want to move into an APRN role must graduate from a master's or doctorate in nursing practice program, pass the national certification exam, and earn licensure to practice. Concordia's online BSN to DNP program helps you reach your full potential, providing you with the highest level of education in nursing in conjunction with 1,008 practicum hours (750 practicum hours in a clinical setting and 258 in leadership) of hands-on experience to advance your care-taking abilities. And as an advanced practice NP, you'll have more authority in providing the best care possible for your patients from start to finish, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

What to Expect

Concordia's rigorous online BSN to DNP program consists of 70 credit hours, 1,008 clinical/practicum hours, and can be completed in three or four years.

All coursework is completed online, but there may be components of the program for which you will be required to come to campus. Most courses in the program are offered in an accelerated eight-week format, with a few courses taking 16 weeks. Our expert faculty is accessible throughout the program, so you can assure you will feel supported throughout your master's and doctoral degrees in nursing.

Our nursing graduates are consistently above the national average for national certification exams. They reflect the critical thinking and professional skills needed for future nurse leaders in both clinical as well as academic areas. Concordia also offers an online MSN program, but a DNP is quickly becoming the standard for preparing nurses for modern advanced nursing roles.

Please note: International students (those who were educated outside of the U.S. and/or require an F1 visa) are not eligible for this fully online program.
