Earn your college degree and become a science teacher

Help students in 4th-12th grades discover the why as a science teacher. Learn how to plan and teach lessons, demonstrate labs, and create safe classrooms for hands-on experiences. Gain a comprehensive understanding in biology, chemistry, physics, and other specific sciences to confidently teach the fundamental concepts, and also dive into the more challenging areas of each subject.

Program Overview

A degree in science education will prepare you to teach any science class starting with fourth graders to seniors in high school. Develop students' science skills through experiments, lessons, and projects. Demonstrate to your students how observation and investigation in science class can be applied to other core subject areas in school.

Choose an area of emphasis for your teacher degree in science:
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

Students who desire licensure in another state must contact their state department of education for details about whether or not this coursework will meet state requirements.
