New Clinic on Campus
A state of the art speech, language, communication, swallowing, hearing clinic is located on the campus of Concordia University Wisconsin.
The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at CUW is a teaching institution providing training for future speech-language pathologists with support and supervision of licensed speech-language pathology and audiology faculty members.
In addition, the Speech-Language Pathology program aims to prepare students for the opportunities and rigors of a vocation positively impacting communicatively challenged individuals and their families by providing outstanding academic/clinical education, as well as community outreach.
Concordia's New Academic Building
The Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center is a ~41,000 square foot building housing this Speech, Language & Hearing Clinic and the Batterman School of Business. With half of CUW’s six academic schools devoted to health care disciplines, there exists a built-in opportunity to fuse business and health care learning.

Bio
Angie Haendel is a licensed speech-language pathologist across all settings. She has taught Foundations of Cognition and Language, Clinical Phonetics, Clinical Methods, Clinical Practicum, Thesis Research, and Fluency Disorders. Angie is also the Clinic Director for the Speech-Language Pathology Program. Her research interests include autism, fluency, emergent language and child language.

Bio
Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) with 17 years of clinical experience in diverse adult medical settings. Currently an Assistant Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator for the CUW Department of Speech-Language Pathology, specializing in clinical education coordination, specifically related to off-campus clinical experiences, and academic and clinical instruction in the area of adult neurogenic communication disorders. Passionate about clinical education research, recruiting and supporting off-campus clinical instructors for Speech-Language Pathology graduate students, the clinical, academic and professional development of future Speech-Language Pathologists and leading change in the Speech-Language Pathology clinical education landscape. Teaching responsibilities include CSD 470/SLP 570 Neurobases of Communication, SLP-651 Clinical Practicum Level I, and SLP-652 Clinical Externship Level II.

Bio
Mikaely Schmitz earned her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Marquette University, her M.A. in ESL from Western Governors University, and is a current Doctoral student at Edgewood College. In 20 years of clinical practice she has worked in public schools, SNFs, LTACHs, IPR, and Adult Acute In-patient settings.
