PGY1 Residency Option
Academic experiences will include all four roles (teaching, service, practice, and scholarship) of a faculty member’s work to optimally prepare graduates for the rigors of an academic position immediately after residency.
24-Month Practice and Academic Leadership Emphasis
Our 24-month option ensures you’ll have the momentum to continue advancing your practice and education development without transitioning to another program.- Residents spend half of their experience in patient care:
- Year 1 at Progressive Community Health Center, an established pharmacy practice site
- Year 2 developing and advancing ambulatory care services in an urban underserved site
- Residents spend 25 percent of their time in a variety of teaching roles at CUW-SOP
- The remaining 25 percent is allocated to academic development, including completion of a Master’s in Education, with emphasis on teaching and learning
