Merit scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to students based on their previous academic success.
Regents
- Scholarships range between $11,000 - $12,000
- GPA Range between 2.75-3.53
- Eligibility is based on high school GPA
- Renewable while your cumulative GPA remains above 2.49
Presidential Scholarship
- Scholarships range between $13,000 - $16,000
- GPA Range between 3.54 - 4.0+
- Eligibility is based on high school GPA
- Renewable while your cumulative GPA remains above 2.49
One-time review: the award can be reviewed for a possible increase, at the request of the student, if their cumulative GPA increases, and at least two semesters have been completed.

- GPA Range between 2.50-3.49
- Eligibility is based on college GPA
- Renewable while your cumulative GPA remains above 2.49

Church work scholarships
Concordia has a multitude of programs that will prepare you with uncommon compassion, ethical conscience, and unparalleled skill.
- Students is planning to major in Lutheran education or pastoral ministry
- First-time, full-time freshmen eligible
- Student is a member in good standing of a LCMS congregation
- GPA must exceed 2.49
- Lutheran Education Candidate
- First-time, full-time freshmen eligible
- Student is a member in good standing of a LCMS congregation
- GPA must exceed 2.0
Undergraduates who are new freshman, who are planning to be LCMS pastors, and who declare a pre-seminary track are eligible to receive up to full tuition in total Concordia institutional aid.
The Forward in Faith Lutheran Teacher Scholarship is a merit scholarship given to students who intend to enroll in the CUW Lutheran Teacher Diploma (LTD) program and eventually teach in a Lutheran school (LCMS).
The district application is available to students who are members of an LCMS District. This is considered an outside scholarship.

- You must be pursuing a church-work major
- General District Form - check with your District for any additional forms they might require
- Once you complete the form, send it to our office (see address below) and we'll complete our part (we'll send it to the District for you)

Education scholarships
The education scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled in an Education and/or Church work major. They are awarded to current CUW students. See the information below about each scholarship to see if you are eligible to apply.
These scholarships are presented to LCMS church work students to honor Mrs. Erna A. Batterman and her unrealized dream to be a teacher.

Fine arts scholarships
Whether your talent is something you hope to turn into a career or is an extracurricular passion that keeps you occupied outside of the classroom, we'd love to help you grow your unique creative spark at Concordia. Select a scholarship below to learn more:
Students who have shown an interest in music, either as a program of study or as a co-curricular pursuit, may apply to audition for a Music Scholarship.
Students who have shown an interest in an art-related field, either as a major or minor program of study, may apply for an Art Scholarship.
Students majoring or minoring in Theatre may apply for a Theatre Scholarship.
Additional grants and scholarships
This is a partnership that, by God’s grace, matches students with a donor to help them overcome financial limitations. Financial aid is awarded based on carefully evaluated needs. The student is asked to provide updates of their Concordia experience to the donor throughout the academic year.
If you are a graduate of one of Concordia University System (CUS) school programs (associate, bachelor, master or doctorate level) you may qualify for this scholarship.
- $200 toward online undergraduate courses or
- $500 toward eligible graduate courses
Scholarship dollar amounts are examples based on three-credit courses. The actual amount per credit may vary.

$3,000 in Concordia aid for undergraduates of any Lutheran congregation or high school, or dependent of Concordia University System (CUS) alumni or children of rostered church workers.
If you are an employee of one of our Premier Partners and are seeking a degree for one of the eligible programs, you may qualify for this scholarship.
- $150 toward online undergraduate courses or
- $200 toward eligible graduate courses

If you are a veteran, the spouse of a veteran, or a child of a veteran (age 17-26), you may qualify for this scholarship. Applicants will need to provide proof of eligibility by submitting DD214 or Dependent ID Number. The actual amount per credit may vary. Eligible recipients must have exhausted or be ineligible for other federal veteran educational benefits.
- $150 toward online undergraduate courses or
- $200 toward eligible graduate courses
