Concordia University partners with the Wisconsin Private Colleges and Career Consortium to participate in our largest career fair of the year. The WorkForce Fair offers students and alumni the opportunity to meet virtually with employers to learn about job and internship opportunities.

Students and alumni registration and instructions:

Our advising team recommends preparing ahead of time for a career fair, whether virtual or not, as you would for an interview or networking event. Review the following tips and reach out to your advisor for support!

- Attend WorkForce pre-fair sessions hosted on Handshake:

  • February 11, 4:00 p.m. Successfully Meeting with Graduate Recruiters []

  • February 18, 12:00 p.m. Handshake 101: Virtual Career Fairs []

  • February 25, 5:00 p.m. Making the Most of a Virtual Career Fair]

- Post-Fair Event - March 5, 12:00 p.m. Following up with Recruiters Post Fair

- Update Your Profile and check your privacy settings for employers to view.

- Review and research organizations participating in the fair via Handshake and register for 1:1 and group sessions

- Update your resume and have it reviewed by your academic and career advisor. Upload the final version as a PDF to Handshake for employers to view.

- Practice your elevator pitch for your 1:1 video chat room meetings.

- View this video to learn how to stand out to employers!

- Double-check your technology. You will need an internet connection, speakers and a microphone, and a supported device. Learn more about technical requirements for virtual fairs here.
