Dear resident students,
The Residence Life Office would like to share some move-in information with you.
As our Uncommon Return Plan outlines, we are utilizing a staggered move-in this year to reduce traffic and congestion. Arrivals are scheduled throughout the month of August. If you have not received an email with an early move-in date, please plan to move in as listed below:
- Move-in Day for NEW STUDENTS is Thursday, August 20th 9am-5pmPlease report directly to your assigned Residence Hall where you will pick up your student ID and check into your room. Here is a campus map for your convenience.
- Move-in Day for RETURNING STUDENTS is Saturday, August 22nd 9am-5pmPlease report directly to your assigned residence hall. *You will need your student ID with you* If you lost your ID, you will need to pick up a new one in the library before going to your hall.
- If you will be arriving earlyIf you will be arriving early with a music group, athletic team or some other student organization, you have already received Early Check-in Approval and instructions. Please contact residence.life@cuw.edu immediately if you believe you were left off of an Early move-in list.
What else can you do to prepare for move-in day?
- Please do not bring more than 2 people to help you move in
- Everyone will need to wear a mask
- If you have roommates, we encourage you to communicate with them about anticipated arrival times
- You will want to avoid having too many people in your room at one time
- Please limit the amount of personal property you bring to expedite your move-in process
- Download CUW’s mobile app at the Apple Store or the Play Store

Parking information:
You can get a jump-start on your parking permit by registering your vehicle through the CUW Portal. Go to the Safety Net channel under the Student tab and click on "Register my Auto."
You can expect an email from your RD in Early August and one more email from us with final instructions by mid-August.
