In addition to staffing undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, the Center develops seminar-based opportunities for students to learn about capitalism and classical economics through engagement with the great thinkers in the history of liberty and free society.

The Economics for Opinion Leaders (EFOL) program is a series of one or two-day, face-to-face or virtual, web-supported seminars on economics-related topics for Wisconsin and Midwest opinion leaders – journalists and the media, teachers, health care professionals. The goal is to increase understanding of free enterprise and enable these parties to responsibly share that knowledge with the groups they serve.

The Teaching Economics in American History, Civics and Government workshops are designed to strengthen the ties between economics and history, civics and government. These dynamic, interactive workshops are aimed at American history, economics and civics teachers at the middle and high school level. This comprehensive program provides teachers with the instructional tools and resources needed to bring the economic way of thinking to their students using two award winning supplementary textbooks.
