We are honored that you have applied to Concordia University Wisconsin for the fall semester. To apply for a Theatre Scholarship, students must have an interest in participating in the Theatre program. All scholarship students are encouraged to explore the individualized theatre major or theatre minor.
All award recipients must participate in CUW Theatre’s productions and are highly encouraged to take Theatre courses while enrolled at CUW. If you are interested in a degree in Theatre (major or minor), you may audition/interview for a larger scholarship.
Application Deadline (for entry fall 2026): January 31
Audition Date (for entry fall 2026): February 7
Please note: Scholarship Auditions are required for Minor-Level applicants, and strongly encouraged for Participant-Level Applicants. If you are unable to travel to CUW for your audition, virtual auditions can be arranged by emailing luke.hahn@cuw.edu. Auditions include two contrasting one-minute monologues, as well as an optional 32-bar cut of a musical theatre song. Resumes and letters of recommendation are strongly encouraged. (Technical applicants will submit a resume of technical Theatre work and complete an interview in lieu of the performance audition.)
CUW's Theatre Department offers the opportunity for a scholarship to incoming students who:
- Submit a Theatre Scholarship Application for consideration
- Commit to acting, stage managing/assistant stage managing, or working tech for one show a year
- Commit to participating in at least one service project each year that is coordinated by CUWT
- Commit to taking one Theatre course in their time at CUW
- Commit to modeling Christian character on and off stage as prized members of the CUWT family
- Applicants interested in the Theatre Minor: Degree-seeking scholarship students additionally must complete all requirements associated with the Theatre minor or an Individualized Theatre major.
You will be notified by your admission counselor with your scholarship decision. If you have additional questions, please reach out to your admission counselor, or admissions@cuw.edu.
