There’s no debating it: When you teach children to love reading, you open their world to endless possibilities and cultivate foundational skills that will help them excel in the future. That’s why for years Concordia has partnered with the Early Childhood Committee of The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod’s South Wisconsin District to help area educators instill a love of literature in young readers.

The Early Childhood Literacy Festival takes place annually on Concordia’s campus during the first weekend in August. The one-day festival features a morning keynote speaker, followed by an assortment of workshops on topics ranging from meeting the needs of diverse learners to faith-focused instructional methods.

The cost of the workshop is $90. For details on the next event, visit Concordia’s Upcoming Events page.
