PROSPER – Providing Resources and Opportunities for Student Performance, Engagement, and Retention

Are you more of a one-on-one person, or do you want a more customized plan for success? PROSPER could be right for you. It was designed for students who may need or want a more customized roadmap. As part of PROSPER, new CUW students are paired with a faculty or staff member to develop an individualized plan for success. Through weekly meetings on time management, test taking strategies, self-efficacy development, and a myriad of other topics, you’ll establish a solid foundation from which your academic and co-curricular successes can really take off.

STAR – Striving Towards Academic Recovery

We’ve all had rough times or rocky starts. It’s okay – we’re here to help. STAR is a great program if you need some additional support to remedy a poor semester or are facing academic difficulty. The STAR program follows a similar curriculum to that of PROSPER. Click here to request enrollment in the STAR program.

We also offer a series of workshops and the opportunity for Peer Academic Coaching, providing students a more tailored approach to best fits their needs. Whichever STAR path you choose, know that it’s definitely the step in the right direction.

FAST – Falcon Academic Support Team

The Falcon Academic Support Team is a task force comprised of Advising, Student Life, Academics, and Athletics personnel. Each week they use data from our Early Alert System and faculty/staff referrals to identify and connect with students who may be facing academic difficulty. Oftentimes, this identification and outreach happens before the student even knows there is a problem. The FAST program has allowed for student success personnel to collaboratively serve students on a holistic level.
