Emily Goetz-Sutinen graduated with a Bachelor of Science from St. Norbert College in 2014, followed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Concordia University in 2018. In 2019, she completed the Concordia University Orthopedic Residency and became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy Department and the Director of the Orthopedic Residency Program. What she likes most about being part of the Alumni Advisory Council is helping keep alumni connected with Concordia University. As a CUW alumna, she enjoys knowing that she always has a place at Concordia, and her favorite alumni benefit is receiving the Alumni Newsletter, which allows her to stay updated on various events and highlights.
Jenny Clemens (Corey) earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood minor from Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) in 1995. She continued her education at Cardinal Stritch, receiving a Master of Arts in Reading and Learning Disabilities in 2002. As a current third-grade teacher, she has been recognized with several awards, including the Pre-Service Mentor Award from WCTE in 2015, the Council for Exceptional Children chapter 31 Teacher of the Year award in 2017, and the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship Award in 2023.
When asked about her involvement with the Alumni Advisory Council, Jenny states she loves "giving back to Concordia as I felt it gave me so much. My experience at CUW was excellent and prepared me for life very well." The people are what she enjoys most about being a CUW alumna, specifically the former students and professors she knew and the new people she meets at every event. Her favorite alumni benefit is the overall connection to the school, noting, "It just feels like home."
Mia Tatum-Crider holds two master's degrees from Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW): a Master of Science in Educational Counseling from 2010 and a Master of Science in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from 2019. She also holds an Alternative Educational Licensure, which she received from CUW. Currently, Mia serves as a counselor at the Mequon-Thiensville School District.
As a member of the Alumni Advisory Council, Mia most enjoys "connecting with fellow alumni and working toward connecting new alumni who share my passion for CUW." She feels it's important to give back to the university that has provided so much for her. What she enjoys most about being a CUW alumna is the continued benefit of the connections she has made in the world of education. Her favorite alumni benefit is volunteering at commencement, where she loves to see the "excitement, light and pride" in the eyes of new graduates.
