While the first two years at the Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy are largely focused on developing your knowledge and skills to be a pharmacist in any practice setting, roughly 40% of the curriculum in your third and fourth years are elective courses you get to choose.
The third and fourth years of the curriculum intentionally provide you the opportunity to focus and craft your skills and knowledge in specialty areas of practice-allowing you to tailor your education to the career interests you’ve developed.
Electives we offer
CUW offers many diverse elective options, including advanced therapeutics coursework in:

- And many more.
See a full course listing here.
Electives are also offered in advanced compounding, pharmacogenomics, public health, and advanced literature evaluation. Some elective offerings let students design their own projects, while others are more traditional in design; some are classroom-based, while others occur literally in the jungles of South America.
Once in the fourth-year rotations, three or even four six-week rotations can be selected solely based on your interest to specialize and customize your education to meet your future needs. And our staff and your faculty help guide you with these selections and decisions every step of the way.
